Trips

We run regular club trips throughout the year, and as well as one-off trips and training sessions

We paddle in coastal, enclosed and inland waters. Some paddles are half day or day trips, while others are multi-day, kayak-camping trips.

Our trips are led by experienced trip leaders and vary in difficulty and distance. Trip leaders are VSKC members who have progressed through the VSKC grading system to Sea Skills grade or higher.

Each trip is assigned a grading that aligns with the VSKC grading system, and indicates the level of skill and experience required by participants. Numbers are capped to ensure a safe ratio of trip leader-to-paddler.

Members have access to our trip calendar which lists upcoming paddles and training sessions. If you're interested in joining the VSKC find out more here.

VSKC trips are governed by the VSKC Trip Guidelines.

We run regular weekly, monthly and annual paddles weather permitting and COVID restrictions aside!

We also run regular rolling sessions typically in the bay in summer and in a heated pool in winter.

All of these regular paddling events are listed in advance in our trip calendar.
